What these terms of use cover
These terms apply to every page on businesscentralconsultant.com and to the forms on it. The site is run by Sataware Technologies, the software company our Business Central consulting team belongs to. Our consulting work itself runs under a separate written agreement. So nothing on this site forms a contract for services on its own.
If you use the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. We may update the terms now and then. When we do, we post the new text here with a new effective date, and it applies from that point on.

Why our guides are general guidance, not advice
We write our guides to help you understand Business Central and plan your next step. But every company sets up its system in its own way. So a guide cannot know your data, your extensions or your licenses.
For that reason, test any change in a sandbox before you use it in production. Microsoft also changes the product with each release wave. We keep our pages current, yet a detail can change before we update it. When the stakes are high, check the current Microsoft Learn page or ask us.
Ask about your system →- ✓Test in a sandbox first
- ✓Check the current Microsoft docs
- ✓Back up your data
- ✓Ask us about your own setup
Who owns the names and words in our terms of use
Microsoft, Dynamics 365, Business Central and Power BI are trademarks of Microsoft. Other product names belong to their owners too. We use these names only to describe the products we work with. Using them does not mean those companies back this site.
Our own words, layouts and graphics belong to us. You may read, print and share a page for your own use, and you may link to any page. However, please do not copy whole pages onto another site or sell our content.
Ask to reuse a page →- ✓Read and print our pages
- ✓Share a link to any page
- ✓Quote a short passage with a link
- ✓Ask us before reusing more
What happens when you follow a link to another site?
Our pages link to other sites, such as Microsoft Learn, Google Maps and review profiles. We add these links because they help you check a fact or find your way. We do not run those sites, so we cannot answer for what they say or how they handle your data.
The site is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it is free of errors or always online. To the extent the law allows, Sataware Technologies is not liable for any loss that comes from using this site or relying on its general guidance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, and any dispute about them belongs in the courts of Arizona.
Ask about a link →- ✓Other sites follow their own rules
- ✓The site is provided as it is
- ✓Liability limited as the law allows
- ✓Arizona law applies

Questions about these terms of use
Can I rely on a guide from this site for my own Business Central system?
Use our guides to learn and to plan, but test before you act. Every Business Central system is set up a little differently, with its own data, extensions and licenses. A guide cannot see those details, so a step that suits one company may not suit yours. That is why we suggest you try a change in a sandbox first. Then check the current Microsoft Learn page, because the product changes with each release wave. And if the change touches money, stock or payroll, ask a consultant who can look at your system before you go ahead.
May I share or quote a page from this site?
Yes, within reason. You may share a link to any page, print a page for your own use, or quote a short passage as long as you link back to it. However, please do not copy whole pages onto another site, and do not sell our content. If you want to reuse more than a short passage, for example in training material for your team, email us first. Usually we can agree on something simple, and asking first keeps everyone clear about who wrote what.
Does a page on this site form a contract with you?
No. The site describes our services and gives general guidance, but it does not create a contract. When we work with a company, we agree on the scope and terms in a separate written agreement. That agreement, not this site, sets out what we will do. So if a page and a signed agreement ever differ, the signed agreement wins. In the meantime, the contact form only starts a conversation, and sending it does not commit you to anything.
Are you part of Microsoft?
No. We are the Business Central consulting team of Sataware Technologies, an independent software company that works with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Microsoft, Dynamics 365 and Business Central are Microsoft trademarks, and we use those names only to describe the product. So the site does not speak for Microsoft. For licensing and product decisions, Microsoft and your licensing partner have the final word.
Which law applies to these terms of use?
The laws of the State of Arizona, and any dispute about these terms belongs in the courts of Arizona. The terms also limit what Sataware Technologies can be held liable for when you use the site, as far as the law allows. That is because our pages give general guidance, not advice for your own system. A signed consulting agreement sets its own terms, and those terms apply to the work it covers. Questions about these terms go to hello@businesscentralconsultant.com.
