Business Central implementation consultant for a clean go-live
A Business Central implementation consultant should leave you with a system your team trusts on the first Monday. We write the scope before any setup starts. Then we set out the phases in a written proposal. Each week, we also walk your people through the build in a sandbox until cutover.

Why a Business Central implementation consultant writes the scope first
Most troubled rollouts share one cause. Nobody agreed on what done looks like. So we start with talks for finance, sales, purchasing and inventory. Then we turn what we hear into a written scope. It names every process, report and integration in the project.
Our proposal is built on that document. If something new comes up later, we write it up as a separate change for you to approve before work on it starts. That way, nothing is added to the project without your sign-off.

- ✓Chart of accounts and dimensions
- ✓Order to cash and procure to pay
- ✓Inventory, locations and costing
- ✓Approvals and user roles
- ✓Reports your team uses today
Built in a sandbox you can click through each week
Business Central gives every tenant its own sandbox, and we build there first. Each week, your key users sit with us and click through the setup. They use their own data. They do not read a status report instead.
Problems show up while they are cheap to fix. For example, a posting group may send freight to the wrong account. We catch that in the sandbox, not in your first month-end close.

- ✓Your own sample documents posted end to end
- ✓Open decisions that need an owner

Your data, loaded and balanced
First, we use configuration packages and templates to load customers, vendors, items and opening balances. Then we run trial loads until the numbers match the old system. Your finance lead signs off on the trial balance before we pick a cutover date.
Training is by role. A warehouse picker, a payables clerk and a controller each learn the screens they use every day. We also leave short written guides with your team. They stay useful long after we finish.
Talk about your data →
- ✓Master data cleansed and loaded
- ✓Opening balances reconciled
- ✓Role-based training sessions
- ✓Written guides for each role
- ✓Go or no-go checklist agreed
What happens at cutover
Go-live happens over a planned cutover weekend. We load final balances and move open orders. Then we lock the old system for posting. On Monday, your team walks into a live Business Central company that already holds their work.
As your Business Central implementation consultant, the same person who led the build stays on for your first period close. You never explain your setup to a stranger. Small fixes in the first weeks go to someone who knows why each setting exists.

Is a Business Central implementation consultant right for you?
As a Business Central implementation consultant, we work with US companies moving to Business Central for the first time. Many come from QuickBooks, Sage, spreadsheets or an older Dynamics product. Most have outgrown entry-level accounting. They need inventory, purchasing and reporting in one place.
Perhaps you already started with another firm, and the project stalled. In that case, we can take it over. First, we assess what is set up. Next, we write down what is left. Then we set out the rest in a written proposal.

Business Central implementation questions
What does a Business Central implementation consultant do?
They turn how your business works into a set up Business Central company. That covers the chart of accounts, posting setup, approvals, inventory, reports and integrations. It also covers the data load, training and go-live. A good one also tells you what not to customize, because less custom code means easier updates.
Why does a Business Central implementation consultant write the scope first?
Because a written scope lists every process, report and integration before work starts. Then both sides know what the project covers, and Sataware can answer your pricing questions against that list. Changes that come later are written up on their own, and you approve each one before we start it.
Do we need Essentials or Premium?
Essentials covers finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, warehousing and projects. Premium adds manufacturing and service management. During discovery, we look at your processes. Then we recommend the edition that fits. We do not push the larger one. Most distributors and service firms do well on Essentials.
Can our team keep working during the project?
Yes. We build in a sandbox, so your current system runs as normal until the cutover weekend. However, your key users do give a few sessions each week to discovery, walkthroughs and training. We plan those sessions around your close dates, so finance is never pulled away at a busy moment.
What happens after go-live with your Business Central implementation consultant?
Your named consultant stays for the first period close. After that, you can move to one of our support plans. Or you can run the system yourselves with the guides we leave behind. Either way, you know who to call. As your Business Central implementation consultant, we stay reachable during US business hours.
